I always hate to be doing things in the kitchen when it is not fully light. It can be really dark in ours, especially as the sink and things are positioned so that when you are standing in front of them, you are blocking the window and so in your own light. I do put the main light on, but it seems silly to have this much light in the middle of the day and also it is not in that good a position anyway. I have at last got round to buying some Led cabinet lights which I think will give me all the light that I need without having to put the main light on in the middle of the day. I have also got some under counter lighting and that will be brilliant. I just need to organise the electrician to come and fit it all for me and then I will be sorted. I also picked up some red rope lights to go up in my daughter?s bedroom and I will get the electrician to sort those out for me when he is here as well. May as well make the most of him and get all the jobs that I need doing all done in one go.

My local furniture shop has a bar stool sale and so I have decided to go along. I have been meaning to get some new ones for a while now. The ones we have in our kitchen are the ones that were here when we moved in to the house which was over five years ago. The fabric on the seats is ripped and the legs are scratched and dirty. I have just not really had the time to think about getting replacements before. The sale is the ideal opportunity to go and take a look. I am not really sure whether to stick with fabric seated metal bar stools or go with something a bit different. I do like the look of a wooden bar stool but am not sure how comfortable it will be. I guess I could try out the different types for comfort and that would help me to make up my mind. I might look a bit silly sitting on them all, but I guess that if I ask permission first I will not feel so bad about it. I suppose other people might be doing it too as it is a sensible thing to do when you are trying to decide what to buy.

I have decided that I might start to recycle some of the things that I have been given in the past and give them away as gifts. For example I am often being given cheap CZ jewelry by a friend and although it is pretty, it is just not the sort of thing that I would normally wear. Therefore I have decided to start by giving away that. Obviously not anyone that my friend knows or who knows her as I do not want to cause offence but I think it is better to do that and recycle the gift than have it in its brand new state sitting in a drawer and eventually thrown away. I have a couple of CZ solitaire rings which I am going to give to my sister because, unlike me, she really likes wearing lots of rings and I think that she even might have a few CZ rings and so hopefully these will match in with the others. I hope that she will like them and wear them as I always feel sad if jewelry doesn’t get worn.

I know that it cannot be after this pay day, because I have some big expenses this month which are likely to leave me with no spare money. However the month after may be good. I will be looking hard to decide which of the tops I am going to buy. At the moment I have my eye on the Jimi Hendrix T shirts but I am sure I will change my mind hundreds of times before I actually have the money to buy one. It will be fun keeping returning to the store and looking at what they have.

I really must get some new bedding for my children. They have really grown out of their nursery bedding but because it is just plain yellow it is not too babyish for them. I decided not to get baby crib bedding sets as although they were cute I knew they would grow out of it quickly. The stuff they have now is still pretty cute and now that they are 4 years old, I think that they need to choose something, for themselves. I think once they start having children over to play and to stay the night, they will want something more grown up. I am not too keen on the idea of getting them something like sports bedding but I am sure that they will want something grown up like this. I think I will try to encourage them to choose something that they will not grow out of too quickly but will also be something they will not get bored of. Could be quite a challenge, but I am sure that we will find something that will work. We have plenty of places to look and so I am sure one of them will have the right thing.

I have just found this amazing shop. My Mum actually introduced me to it because she was looking for discount cocktail dresses and noticed that it also sold cheap prom dresses, under $100. She knows that I am looking for something very specific in a certain price range and so she wanted me to take a look. I have decided that I think it would be more special if I paid for my dress myself. My Mum has offered to help me out but I think that I want to celebrate this grown up occasion by being a grown up myself and paying for it. I know that I will feel far better about myself if I manage to do this. I have been saving up money from my weekend job and do not have very much but am still determined to succeed. I have been looking at all sorts of discount formal dresses and have not yet found the thing that I like. Some look very cheap or have some shop soiling or damage and I do not like that. I also find that quite a few styles do not suit me and so I have to avoid those. It is turning out to be quite a challenge but one I am enjoying and am determined to succeed at.

My daughter is having her ears pierced soon and although I was disapproving to start with, I think it would be nice to get her some nice earrings to show that I now approve. I think I was a little shocked that she wanted it done at such a young age, but then I remembered that I had mine done at a very young age and I never regret having it done. I have therefore come round to the idea and given her my approval. I think it would be nice to get her some nice trendy hoop earrings that she can wear once her first 6 weeks of wearing studs are up. I know that she has always liked silver hoop earrings and I think these will be great. I do wonder whether the white gold hoop earrings might be better for her ears as they are a better quality metal and she may be allergic to some types, like I am. I think I will go for these, although perhaps not the diamond hoops as they might be taking a little gift to show my approval a bit too far! I am sure she will be grateful however much I spend and will certainly not expect it to be a fortune!
